Its Chocolatier — Domenico Ghirardelli:
Domenico Ghirardelli was born in Rapallo, Italy in the year 1817. He received his first education in the chocolate trade when he was apprenticed to a local candymaker as a child. By the time he was 20, he sailed to Uruguay together with his wife to work in a chocolate and coffee business. A year later, he moved to Lima, Peru, and opened a confectionery store. In the year 1847, James Lick, who was a neighbor of Ghirardelli, moved to San Francisco with 600 pounds of Ghirardelli's chocolate, while Ghirardelli remained and continued to operate his store in Peru.

To sum up, although this Luxe Milk Crisp Chocolate contains 21 grams of sugar and 12 grams of total fat, yet, it is still a bit healthier when compared to the Almond flavor that I tasted yesterday. Moreover, in spite of they have the same price, I would certainly prefer to buy this Crisp flavor rather than the Almond flavor because of my personal interest.
